Gayle Tauber, a co-founder of Women Give San Diego, has been involved in various entrepreneurial businesses for more than 35 years, all focusing on health/wellness, social responsibility, and the preservation of capital. Her startup business, Kashi Company – a producer and marketer of cereals and grain-based products – was founded in 1984 in her home. Over 17 years, it grew into an international company and was sold to the Kellogg Company in 2000.

Gayle is CEO of Seedling Fund, a family investment company. She is immediate past president of The Trusteeship, International Women’s Forum, an international organization that advances women’s leadership across careers, cultures and continents, and she remains on its board. She is a past board member of the Women’s Foundation of California, a nonprofit that focuses on low-income women and girls in California. Gayle has served on the boards of the USD’s School of Leadership and Education Sciences, the San Diego Women’s Foundation, and The Center for Jewish Culture and Creativity.
